Aventine is an Australasian numismatic firm initially established in the 2010s as a private venture by a group of collectors. Over the past decade, we have become synonymous with exceptional numismatic rarities in New Zealand.

In 2021, we became an Authorized Dealer for NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Corporation) and PMG (Paper Money Guaranty), the world’s most trusted third-party grading services for coins and banknotes.

Our acquisition of the 1879 Bank of New Zealand £100 banknote, ex Falconer Larkworthy Collection ( the record holder for the highest price at the time paid for a New Zealand banknote ( $85,000 AUD ) was featured in a New Zealand Herald article. 

In 2024, Aventine expanded our global presence with an appointment as the Numismatic Agent for Spink & Son in New Zealand, further highlighting our role in the rare coin and banknotes market.
