One of the rarest coins of the New Zealand pre-decimal series. Struck in 0.500 Silver. The key date by far with the lowest mintage of this short lived type under King George V ( 1933-1936 ). Two carved patu (Maori short-handled clubs). Issued by the New Zealand treasury in very limited numbers as a collector’s piece in order for the 1935 Treaty of Waitangi Commemorative Date Sets to be completed.
