The 1935 Treaty of Waitangi Silver Crown of 5 Shillings represents one of the most historically significant and famous New Zealand numismatic items, representing the pivotal agreement and establishment of the Treaty of Waitangi on 6th February 1840.

Featuring on the reverse, a finely detailed depiction of Ngāpuhi Māori chief Tāmati Wāka Nene and Aotearoa New Zealand's first Lieutenant-Governor William Hobson shaking hands beneath a crown, along with the inscription "NEW ZEALAND CROWN 1935 WAITANGI". On the reverse, the portrait of King George V, surrounded by the inscriptions of "GEORGE V KING EMPEROR".
