New Zealand Coins and Banknotes issued since 1933 are still valid currency that can be redeemed at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand in Wellington.

Coins struck before 1947 are made from an alloy of 50% silver. Some specific years ( with one of NZ's more famous rarities being the 1935 Threepence ) are worth considerably more than face value.
The purpose of this list is to provide a conversion table from Pre-Decimal to Decimal currency, not to offer advice on specific collectable values. We recommend getting your coins checked by an expert first before making any decisions.
